Buganda Road Magistrates Court has committed socialite Don Nasser, real name Nasser Nduhukire to High Court face trial over child trafficking, and defilement.
Chief magistrate, Ronald Kayizzi on Monday committed the socialite together with his personal assistant, Promise Ateete, 19.
According to the evidence against the duo, the state says that Don Nasser and his co-accused, Ateete were previously lovers but later became friends.
The evidence shows that Ateete was a friend to the 16-year-old victim of defilement and child trafficking.
The state says that the 16-year-old who currently lives with her mother in Qatar was previously studying at Kabojja International School.
The 16-year-old previously studied in Qatar and when she failed exams, the only way to redo the paper was getting an international school in Uganda since schools in the Gulf country don’t allow the option of re-sitting examination papers.
Consequently, her parents arranged and she travelled to Uganda on April, 20, 2024 and was enrolled at an examination centre where Cambridge exams would be conducted from.
She started staying with her paternal aunt in Naguru .

Disappears from home
However, barely two weeks after returning to Uganda, the 16 year old disappeared from her paternal aunt’s home in Naguru on May, 2 and efforts to trace for her whereabouts proved futile.
Meanwhile, when her aunt called and asked she returns home, she refused.
The following day, the victim’s phone was tracked and an analysis indicated she was on several occasions in communication with phone number 0740261292.
When the victim finally returned one two days later on May, 4 in the late afternoon, when she was asked about her whereabout, she was not opening up.
It was later found out that on the fateful night when the victim escaped from home, she was lured away by a person called Promise who was using telephone number 0740261292.
Promise was Don Nasser’s girlfriend.
On the night that the victim escaped from home, Promise also used Snap chat, a social media application to communicate to her.
Meanwhile, the 16 year old girl was later taken to Kyaliwajjala to start staying with her paternal aunt by two weeks later on May, 27, she again escaped from home
