The streets of Canada-Toronto came alive with the electrifying sounds of Dancehall, Afro-beat, and Afro-pop from July 5th to July 7th, 2024 as the annual Afro-Fest-Toronto took the nation by storm.
Among the star-studded lineup was the dynamic duo of Beenie Gunter, Awilo Longomba, and Alikiba as well as the legendary Grammy-nominated group Mafikizolo.
Beenie Gunter who is getting ready for his Guntalk Festival scheduled for the 21st of September 2024 at the Garden City rooftop commented, “I am excited for this opportunity to perform alongside industry heavyweights like Alikiba and Awilo Longomba is a testament to the hard work and dedication I’ve poured into my craft. Beenie Gunter, the Ugandan sensation, commanded the stage with his infectious energy and captivating performance. Seamlessly blending his signature dancehall Jamaican sound with pulsating rhythms, Beenie Gunter had the crowd on their feet, singing and dancing along to his hit tracks like “On Me” and “Teppinn”.
Sharing the spotlight, the legendary Awilo Longomba from the Democratic Republic of Congo delivered a masterclass, his smooth vocals, and mesmerizing dance moves leaving the audience in awe. The performance by Beenie Gunter, Alikiba, and Awilo Longomba was a true highlight, as the two artists fed off each other’s energy, creating a musical synergy that resonated with the enthusiastic crowd.
The Guntalk Festival is set to be held at the Garden City rooftop on the 21st of September 2024. It is organized by Talent Africa Group, East Africa’s Leading events and Management Company.
