Spice Diana, the well-known singer of “Siri Regular,” has come out supporting Azawi’s criticism of other musicians. It is important to note that Azawi advocated for artists to support the battle against corruption, meaning they should stand by the people in this fight. Spice Diana has so come up to back Azawi in this endeavour. Spice Diana claims that the UNMF’s fifty billion shs fund is empty.
32 musician Spice Diana has come out to express her disappointment with the Uganda National Musicians Federation headed by singer Eddy Kenzo. We should remember that UNMF was started in 2023 having every big name of Uganda’s music industry in it.
since then, the body has received a lot of criticism from both upcountry musicians and those supporting Bobi Wine.
Many musicians have always said that Eddy Kenzo and friends formed the UNMF to get money from the government instead of promoting the rights of musicians like copyright law.
However, musicians like Swangz Avenue’s Azwai has always called Eddy Kenzo a liar who only uses the body for his benefit.
Azawi had said that it’s a shame many singers despite being supported by Ugandans are quiet about issues troubling Ugandans.
She further said that most of them who are well-to-do have been compromised by the government. This is why they can’t raise their voice.
According to Spice Diana, she said that as much as she doesn’t have proof about which musicians pocketed government money, it’s true Ugandans are suffering.
