The final day of August was nothing short of epic as the highly anticipated Jameson & Friends Weekend rocked the Garden City Rooftop on Saturday, ushering in September with style, music, and endless good vibes. Organized by Talent Africa Group, this monthly festival has become a staple in Kampala’s social calendar, and it did not disappoint.
From the moment the gates swung open at 4 PM, revelers were welcomed into a buzzing atmosphere filled with interactive games, trend-setting pop-up shops, and endless indulgence. The scent of mouth-watering barbecue filled the air as guests sipped on complimentary Jameson cocktails, mingled with friends, and enjoyed the free perks—discounted tattoos, free haircuts, and of course, the smooth taste of Ireland’s finest whiskey.
Gaming enthusiasts also had their moment in the spotlight, with Arudem Gaming taking over the Sip Sip Score FIFA Tournament and rolling out a fresh lineup of games for avid players. It was the perfect blend of gaming and celebration.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a Jameson & Friends event without killer live music. Headlining the stage were Uganda’s very own Nutty Neithan, the crowd-favorite Ug Boys, and the ever-vibrant Professor Jowei with Black Waves Sound. The music kept the energy high all night long, with standout DJ sets from DJ Tony, DJ Kasbaby, DJ Harold, and more. Not to mention, rising stars Viana Indi, Sean Preezy, and Adele Kiele turned up the heat, making sure everyone was dancing like there was no tomorrow.
“The combination of top-notch performers, engaging activities, and a lively atmosphere created an unforgettable experience for all our attendees. We are grateful for the support of our sponsors and audience who have continued to make this event a resounding success,” said Aly Alibhai, CEO of Talent Africa Group. The exceptional sound, the relaxed rooftop setting, and the unbeatable vibes made this edition one for the books.
Now in its third year, the Jameson Hangout series has become synonymous with the best social events Kampala has to offer. With every edition, the Jameson Bond & Connect events raise the bar, and this past weekend was no exception.
