At least 14 vehicles were destroyed in a fire at a garage and carpentry workshop in Makerere Ku Bbiri, along with some furniture and storage. The fire has been contained, preventing it from spreading to residential areas.
The fire is believed to have started at 4:30 am and raged more than two hours later.
Police and firefighters were still battling the blaze by press time.
