Calvin Kabuye a Ugandan International has joined Swedish Club Mjällby ALF with a contract signed till 2029.
The 21-year-old forward signs for Mjällby from Sandvikens IF, where he had a good 2024 Superettan season.
Kabuye made his first appearance at the Uganda National Team last month when Uganda Cranes played Congo Brazzaville.
Kabuye has played 30 competitive matches for Sandvikens IF, scoring ten goals and also having one assist.
His performance not only showcased his attacking prowess but also cemented his reputation as a rising talent in football.
Mjällby AIF completed the transfer by buying out Kabuye’s contract with Sandvikens IF. The club’s sports director, Hasse Larsson, expressed high hopes for the player’s future.
“Calvin is a player we strongly believe in. He runs a lot, is very skilled in 1v1 situations, and has interesting speed. With his drive, he can take the next step in the yellow and black suit, where he can be used both as a wingback and in central offensive positions. We warmly welcome Calvin to Mjällby AIF,” said Larsson.
The move marks a significant step in Kabuye’s career as he looks to establish himself in Sweden’s Allsvenskan league while continuing to contribute to Uganda’s national team ambitions.
