I didn’t grow up with my father despite the fact that he was rich. I grew up with my mother. They were separated, but my mother was on the other side of poverty. I always wanted to live a good life like the one I saw my other family live.
Interestingly, Bebe Cool disclosed that he was initially a soccer player before going into music.
However, the booming popularity of Jamaican music at the time and his talent sparked his interest in pursuing a music career.
At that time, Jamaican music was booming, and I had the talent. That desire to live a good life pushed me because I saw there was a possibility through music.
For Bebe Cool, the driving force behind his musical journey was his determination to uplift his mother’s life. As the youngest child in the family, he felt a deep responsibility to support her.
It was all for my Mum because I’m the last born, and I was living with her alone. I saw the hustle.
