Musician Alexander Bagonza, popularly A Pass, is gearing up for his first major concert on January 31 at Kampala Serena Hotel. During a press conference on Monday, he made bold claims about his musical talent, asserting that he is on a different level compared to Uganda’s top three artists.
“I have immense respect for Jose Chameleone, Bebe Cool, and Bobi Wine, but none of them can do what I do. That’s the truth. I’m on a different level when it comes to lyrics and artistry. I am the artist,” A Pass said confidently.
Despite his strong words, A Pass expressed gratitude toward the three stars for their mentorship and guidance throughout his career. “I’ve learned a lot from artists like Chameleone, Bobi Wine, Bebe Cool, Messach, and Sylver Kyagulanyi, who have all contributed to my growth in this music industry,” he added.
Reflecting on his own journey, A Pass shared how he started out with humble beginnings, recalling days spent working in a small studio the size of a kitchen. “The journey has been crazy. I started in a tiny studio in 2013, but through hard work and humility, I knew I was destined for greatness,” he said.
Looking ahead, A Pass also teased his upcoming concert, revealing that the event will feature Fenon Events and a foreign sound engineer to handle the production. The concert is sponsored by I&M Bank and promises to be a major milestone in his career.
