A day towards his concert, the Uganda Police Force has given the green light for musician Mansoor Ssemanda aka King Saha’s much-anticipated music concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala after a successful review to ensure the safety of revellers.
The show took place on Friday, January 24, 2025, and had Thursday been called off by police citing concerns over the safety of Ugandans amid structural failures at the venue.
However, a police statement released this morning confirmed that a joint meeting between security teams, event organizers, and venue managers took place to assess the conditions at the venue and the event has been okayed to proceed as planned.

“Today, a joint security team, along with the event organizers and venue managers, met at the cricket oval to re-evaluate how the event can proceed while adhering to previously recommended safety measures,” the statement read.
However, the show went on and by 10 am on Friday morning the gates were open to the public that wanted to attend the show.
It is safe to say that King Saha not only received overwhelming support from the general public but also garnered love from his fellow musicians who turned up to support him. Among the notable attendees were both performing and non-performing personalities, including musician-turned-politician and NUP party president, Bobi Wine.
King Saha took the stage for three sessions, the first running from 9 pm to 10 pm, and the last from 11:20 pm to 12:00am. Throughout both sessions, he treated the audience to some of his biggest hits, including Want It, Very Well, Biri Biri, Sala Pulesa, Pretty, Mpeta, Hello, Zakayo, Ebiseera, and I’m on My Way, among others.
