As was the case last hear, the prestigious Beefeater Women’s Day Cocktail lit up Naguru Skyz Hotel, last Saturday, bringing together an exclusive gathering of influential women from diverse sectors, including entertainment, entrepreneurship, creative arts, tourism, politics, media, dance, and corporate leadership.
Organised, hosted, and produced by Talent Africa Group, the invite-only event provided an inspiring platform to honour women’s achievements, discuss key issues affecting them, and foster a spirit of empowerment under the theme “Accelerate Action for Gender Equality.”
Dressed in elegant touches of orange, symbolising a call for a brighter and more inclusive future for women, attendees engaged in thought-provoking conversations and celebrated the strides made in various industries.
The event was hosted by Sylvia Namutebi Allibhai, a Director at Talent Africa Group and former beauty queen, who led the discussions with passion and insight. In her opening remarks, Sylvia highlighted the importance of empowering women and urged attendees to embrace their potential, stating, “Remember, your voice matters, your story matters, and your dreams matter.”

A special Women in Business panel was powered by the Entrepreneurs’ Organization Uganda (EO Uganda), spotlighting female entrepreneurship and leadership.
The celebration was not just about conversations, but also about culture and entertainment. Guests were treated to electrifying performances by Jackie Chandiru and a thrilling dance showcase by Dance with Valentino.
Some of Uganda’s leading female musicians were also in attendance, including Lilian Mbabazi, Nina Roz, Lydia Jazmine, and Rachael K. Renowned dancers like Rita Dancehall, Dance Mamweta, and Cathy Patra brought energy and vibrancy to the evening. Numerous beauty queen graced the event including current Miss Uganda Natasha Nyonyonzi alongside several former beauty queens.
Adding a shopping experience to the event, Fix by Oringa, Queen Ma, and Gosh Glam hosted stylish pop-up shops, allowing attendees to explore curated fashion and beauty collections.
