Upon signing with new record label – Zhafar records, Baguma Crescent, alias Beenie Gunter, has, today, March 6, released his new single titled Kigwa Kitya.
The song, with a dancehall sound, shows off Beenie Gunter’s evolution as a Dancehall musician. While he has always released Dancehall songs, Kigwa Kitya comes with a groovy feel, something that speaks to the key message in the song and video.
Produced by Daddy Andre, the song’s baseline seeks to get fans dancing their feet swollen, in the clubs and wherever the song will be playing.
The song, in essence, speaks of a time to party and have fun with friends and lovers, after earning some money. Shot by Lenon Mulla and I Vash RS, the video displays a boujie lifestyle of partygoers ready to have a good time, and plotting for where the next after party would be, hence the key lyrics Okibaze otya, Kiggwa Kitya.
With well selected colours and lighting, and visuals easily and quickly get any party-hungry person fired up to have fan.
The song also shows off Gunter’s growth as a musician, with his work now targeting a wider market, hence the decision to work with diversity talented people in the industry.
