Biggie Events Quits Hosting Concerts

Renowned events promoter, Biggie Events, has announced her decision to step away from organizing concerts to focus on her personal growth and religious commitments.

Biggie made the announcement today during the official press launch of the National Quran Competition at Kampala Serena Hotel. The competition is scheduled to take place annually, with the inaugural edition set for February 23, 2025.

“Music concerts have really stressed me, and it’s high time I stepped back to concentrate on bringing back the norms of Islam,” she explained.

She further revealed that this initiative was inspired by her recent pilgrimage to Makkah.
“I asked Allah that one day I would love to gather all Muslims as one community, and together with the IRAJI Foundation, we have now launched this competition,” she shared.

Biggie Events is widely recognized for organizing high-profile concerts, including those of artists like Dr. Jose Chameleone, who is currently battling poor health.

The National Quran Competition aims to promote Islamic culture and values among young people. It will be open to participants aged 16 to 20 years, with the ultimate winner receiving a brand-new car and the opportunity to visit Makkah., the holiest place in Islam.
