Last night at Ndere Centre, Ntinda, was a time for the urban party lovers to end the weekend in style. It was the Eastside tour and to crown it in style was Nigerian trio – Magixx, Bayanni and Boy Spyce. Before the icing on the cake, however, the show had a host of home-grown talents to keep the young and hip crowd entertained.
Organised by Talent AFRICA Group and partners, the show kicked off as early as 4:00pm, with a showcase of electrifying DJ mixes by DJs Tony, backed up MC Sheila Salta on the Microphone to hype up the crowd.
Besides Salta and Tony, revellers were treated to performances by Denesi, Vinka, Ava Peace and urban music’s new poster child – Joshua Baraka.
The local acts left no one on their feet after such showstopping performances on stage, setting the right pace for the Nigerians superstars.
At 9:30pm, Shiela Gashumba joined Salta on the microphone to get the crowd ready for the night’s much-coveted acts. As expected the female duo on the microphones did not disappoint.
The trio from Nigeria stepped on stage at 10:30pm, performing most of their popular songs.
From Ta Ta Ta, to Feeling God, Bayanni kicked off the performances by the trio and got the crowd, especially the ladies, worked up. Magixx followed with All Over, Okay among others, setting the right pace for Boy Spyce who crowned the night in style.
