Nigerian singer Tems real name Temilade Openiyi has publicly announced the cancelation of her Rwandan show initially scheduled for 22 March 2025 citing the ongoing conflict between Rwanda and Congo.
Dubbed Born In The Wild, the concert was expected to take place at BK Arena in Kigali and fans were eagerly awaiting to be part of the event.
Taking to her socials, Tems issued a press statement detailing the reasons behind her decision to call off the much-anticipated show.
According to Tems, she engaged in promoting her show in Rwanda little did she know that the country had ongoing conflicts with Congo.
She distanced herself from intending to be insensitive to real-world issues, apologizing for whatever outcomes her decision could bring.

The “Me & You” hitmaker revealed that conflict is not something to overlook, before sending prayers for peace to prevail.
So I recently promoted my show in Rwanda without realising that there is ongoing conflict between Rwanda and Congo. I never ever intend to be insensitive to real-world issues, and I sincerely apologize if this came across that way. I simply had no idea this was going on. My heart goes out to those affected. Conflict is no joke and I truly hope and pray for peace in this time.
