Jjumba Lubowa Aligaweesa, the Ssabakabona (highest priest) of the Tondism Faith, alongside his wife Nabakooza Nezia, also known as Senga Kulanama, made history on 10th November 2024 at Club Obligato during the Kampala Tuzze Cultural Fest. The event drew thousands of fans eager to witness the groundbreaking launch of 30 music videos and 50 audios in a single night—a first of its kind.
Jjumba’s inspiration stems from his admiration for legendary musician Lord Fred Sebatta, leading him to compose the song Sebatta wa Leero, which earned him the nickname. His performance featured his wife, with whom he collaborated on four songs.
The event, organized by Nyumya Media and Casino Mutaasa Development Foundation, and managed by Zubair Family, showcased a mix of cultural and spiritual themes. The artist’s press conference on 7th November 2024 set the stage for the spectacular launch.
Among the songs performed were Ekitamu, Ebyayita Byo, Mukodomi, Akaye, Asana Kwagala, Bamweyana Anayingiya, Sebatta wa Leero, Asamira Lubaale, Bya Ndawula, Akabira Kange, and Nantayi.
Jjumba Lubowa Aligaweesa’s record-breaking launch marked a new chapter in Uganda’s cultural and music history, leaving fans and critics alike in awe.
