Two Ugandan players have joined Rwanda Premier League defending Champions APR FC the pair of Hakim Kiwanuka and Denis Omedi was unveiled in Kigali today.
Both forwards have agreed on two-year contracts with the Rwandese giants and now join midfielder Taddeo Lwanga who’s the other Ugandan at the club.
The two carry much of last season’s success, Kiwanuka helped SC Villa win their 17th league title, the first in 20 years whilst Omedi was Kitara FC’s top scorer with 15 goals and helped them win the Uganda Cup.
The latter has also enjoyed his minutes of fame on the global stage with a goal nomination in both FIFA Puskas awards and CAF goal of the year where he finished 3rd and 9th respectively.
They now look up to a task of helping APR defend it’s title, the team is currently in 2nd place with 7points behind Rhino Sport.
