The 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association Ball Games II concluded on Wednesday 18th July 2024 at Soroti Sports Club in the Teso region, with St. Noa Girls School Zana, Buddo Secondary School, and St. Mary’s Kitende winning gold in the basketball and netball competitions.
The 10-day championship, which saw thousands of participants representing 75 schools, also served as a qualification event for the East Africa Secondary School Games to be hosted by Bukedea Comprehensive and Amus College.
In the boys’ category, Buddo SS successfully defended their title, edging out Mbogo Mixed with a 12-10 victory in a closely contested final.
The top four girls’ teams—St. Noa, Nabisunsa, Kitende, and Seroma—will now represent Uganda at the upcoming Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games.
These games are set to be held next month at Bukedea Comprehensive School and Amus College School in Bukedea.
